Wednesday was a great day! We wrapped up our work at noon, enjoyed some burgers & hot dogs at a cookout by the city, then headed out for some relaxation. Our first stop was Cabela’s Outdoor Store. The guys (and even some of the girls) enjoyed this little pit stop! They had just about everything you could imagine. Second on the list was the Lincoln Park Zoo. Good zoo, but definitely not as good as Memphis. We then headed for the Navy Pier, where we enjoyed some good food, great weather, and an awesome fireworks show.
Leaving the Navy Pier was a little crazy, as none of our GPS units would work. So we had to resort to the “old fashioned” maps. Crazy how dependent you get on a GPS even when you’ve only used them for a short amount of time! Fortunately, we all made it home safely, though!
